Special: Summer Food Backpack Program

Volunteers: Download your background check from here. Return it to juile.thomas@ashland.k12.or.us 10 days before your first shift. A photo/scan of your Driver License must be included.

Program Participants: Produce bags, bread & peanut butter will be available for pick-up

  • Dates: every Thursday, June 24 – August 26
  • Time: 12-3pm
  • Location: Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Stone House @ 80 Hargadine St. Ashland OR 97520 (enter from driveway on Fork St., up stairs to covered porch)
    If pick-up is not a good option for you, contact summerfoodbackpack@gmail.com or text (917)535-6086 to arrange delivery. Deliveries will take place Thursdays 12-4.

The Helman PTA is a completely volunteer-run, 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to enriching education for our kids at Helman. We count on the time, resources, and financial contributions of the Helman families to help us make a difference. We sponsor and fund dozens of events at Helman every year, providing extra funding for every classroom, the Library, the Reading program, Book Swaps, the Science Fair, outdoor education, the Year Book, the Student Talent Show, and many other special programs.

If you are interested in helping out in any capacity, let us know by filling in the contact form below, and we’ll find a way to put your interest to work! Everyone is always welcome to participate in PTA meetings, which take place the second Tuesday of every month in the Helman Library, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Due to Covid, we are currently hosting our meetings through zoom.
