Open to the public and designed for children aged 3-12, the Mayfaire Carnival is a family-friendly event featuring old-fashioned carnival games, face painting, food booths, a silent auction, bounce houses, music, a petting zoo, and more! Free to enter, the carnival games cost $1 each. There are fabulous prizes for all that play! Plenty of fun for the whole family.
Art Party for Eight
Artist, art instructor, and Helman mom Meredith Page will host an art party for eight kids at her home. Included are materials, creative fun and treats!
BBQ with the Principal
Eight lucky kids will join Principal Glenna Stiles at her home for an informal barbecue featuring hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers (if requested), veggies, chips, fruit and a surprise dessert.
Bellydancing for Beginners
Helman mom Regina Linsday will host a one-hour bellydancing lesson for eight kids. No experience required! The lesson will include basic moves & patterns, history of the dance, and fun group exercises–all to a lively mix of traditional and modern music. Bring a water bottle and get ready for a fun workout!
Create a Bracelet Party
Anne and Jason Robison, owners of The Crown Jewel and parents of Adelle and Rowan, will host a party at their Ashland shop for eight kids. Each child will be able to customize their own bracelet with delightful Italian charms… and take it home with them!
Dance Party!
Eight children who love to boogie are invited to sign up for this dance party, to be held in the home of Helman mom Regina Linsday. Treats, kid drinks, and fun music provided.
Harry Potter Trivia Party
Helman parents Becky & Matt Sniffen will host eight budding wizards and witches at their home for an afternoon of Potter puzzles and Hogwartian history! Includes pumpkin juice, chocolate frogs, and other delicacies straight from Hogsmeade. Participating children must have read all seven books at least once…
Hawaiian Luau with Tia & Auika!
Eight lucky Kinders can join Ms. Tia and Miss Auika for a luxurious Hawaiian Luau lunch – followed by play time – at the lovely home of Christa and Kelt Reeves! Donated by the Reeves and Marlowe families.
Family Movie Night
Eight students can curl up for a classic family movie night experience in the cozy home of Helman mom Regina Linsday. Popcorn, baked treats and ice cream complete the experience!
Summer Fun Pool Party…
for eight kids at the beautiful home of Aaron and Bridget Bloch! There will be a lifeguard on duty, and life vests provided for beginners. Lemonade and snacks will be on hand for swimmers.
Adults welcome, but not required.
Scoops & Cycles
Eight 9-12 year olds can accompany Darrel and Joe Jarvis – and special guest, 5th grade teacher Mark Sherbow! – for a bike ride along the greenway with a stop at DQ for an ice cream treat, courtesy of Darrel and Sheila Jarvis. Participants to provide their own bikes and helmets.
Soccer Clinic
Want to work on your soccer technique and master some new skills? 8 kids (3rd-5th grade) can join Soccer Coach Extraordinaire, Stacy Poole along with Julie Grantham (both Helman moms) for a super fun Soccer Clinic.
Kids should wear sunscreen and bring water bottles as well as their own cleats and shin guards. All other equipment will be provided. A healthy snack will be given during this two hour clinic. The date and time will be decided between the coach and participants.
Dads’ Night Out
BBQ, IPA tasting, and HE poker tournament: if these letters don’t mean anything to you, this is not the table party for you. But if you can crack the code, sign up to join in on this fun filled evening of food, cards and beers! To be held in the home of Alan and Judi Harper. Alan will arrange the date with participants.
TAG… You’re IT! Fun and Food with Friends
Brunch in Lithia Park and various games of tag (traditional, Marco Polo, and others) ensure a terrific time with existing and new friends, and an excellent night’s sleep for everyone! Brett and Dana Crawford host brunch and play with special guest: Kindergarten teacher Mia Driscoll!

Ultimate Frisbee clinic for 15 kids hosted by James Yang and with special guest Joe Dunbrasky! This one-hour clinic is designed to teach kids the basics of the game and improve their disc skills. Clinic will take place one Sunday afternoon in summer; James will coordinate date/time with participants.

Top-your-pizza party with special guest 1st/2nd grade teacher Toni DiMaggio! Eight lucky children get to join teacher Toni at Avril and Emil Betoushana’s home for a top your pizza party followed by a G-rated movie.
Party with the Pizza Experts, Matt and Kelly!
Join special guests, 3rd grade teachers, Matt Damon and Kelly Martin at the Grantham home (3rd grader Roxanne’s family) for a delicious homemade pizza and ice cream sundae party. Eight lucky kids (past or current students invited) will visit and dine with their teachers. Maybe we’ll even have a few one-minute dance parties and a story!
